The flag of Jamaica emerged from ideas sent in by the public in a national competition. The present flag first appeared in 1962 after gaining independence from the West Indies. The striking triangle and cross design reflects the Jamaican country and people - the gold relating to the sun, the green to the lush vegetation and the black to the strength and creativity of the people to overcome hardships.
Emancipation day on August 1st is a prime day for flying the Jamaican flag and it can also be seen in a Union Jack form as a logo for Illastate Records.
From only £31.05 per flag, these digitally printed all nation flags are ideal for small quantities.
