The flag of Gibraltar uses red and white stripes with a castle and key overlaying them.
The castle and key and the Montis Insignia Calpe motto are one of the oldest battle honors in the British Army. They were featured as the badge of several regiments who defended Gibraltar during the sieges.
The flag is flown throughout Gibraltar, sometimes officially alongside the Union Flag and flag of Europe. Prominent places which fly the flag include the frontier with Spain, at the top of The Rock and on the States of Gibraltar building. Although still a British Oversea Territory the flag is a symbol of Gibraltarian nationalism, and is very popular among Gibraltarians. For the Gibraltar National Day (10 September), many Gibraltar homes and offices hang the flag from their windows and balconies. Some individuals even wear and dress their vehicles with the flag for national day celebrations.
A giant Lego model of the flag can be seen at the John Mackintosh Hall.
From only £31.05 per flag, these digitally printed all nation flags are ideal for small quantities.
