The Germany flag is the emblem of the German nation. It consists of three horizontal bands of black, red and gold, which relate to a number of things in German history. One such reference is to soldier's uniforms in the Napoleonic wars.
It was first adopted in 1848 and abolished a few times, notably by the Nazis in 1933. Following World War II, East and West Germany shared the same flag, with East Germany adding a communist symbol in 1959.
The flag of Germany is widely used in football matches and flown from public buildings on days such as German Unity Day on October 3rd and Constitution Day on 23rd May.
From only £31.05 per flag, these digitally printed all nation flags are ideal for small quantities.
