The national flag of Bahrain is made up of a white band on the left side (nearest the flag pole) and on the right is a large red area, which is broken from the white band with a serrated line.
The red area on the flag is the traditional colour of Islam and the five points of the serrated line represent the five pillars of Islam.
The Bahrainian national days sees the flags hoisted on December 16th.
There are many laws concerning the flag of Bahrain, one which states that the flag not be used on vehicles other than for official government use and another stating it cannot be used for commercial purposes.
