The flag of Armenia was newly changed and adopted on June 15th, 2006. The new design consists of three horizontal stripes of equal width, in the order of red, blue then orange.
The meanings of the current flag colours are said to be as follows; red symbolises the Armenians Highland, and the Armenian people's continuous struggle, blue symbolises the will of the people of Armenia, and orange is to symbolise the creative talent and hard work of the people.
The Armenian flag flies high on National Day on May 28th.
