The Argentinian flag was first adopted in 1812 and is made up of three equally spaced horizontal bands. The top and bottom part of the flag of Argentina is made up of a special shade of blue known as ‘Celestial Blue’. This one, without the sun, is known as the Ornamental Flag and both types are used, but this one must be hoisted below the flag with the badge.
This particular shade of blue is represented across the country, for example on the Argentinan football team.
The role of the flag bearer in a school is very prestigious and often the flag carriers are those students with the best grades.
