Flagpole Design Process

Strength:

We design the vast majority of our flagpoles to withstand wind speeds of 100mph.

How do we do this?

On our fibreglass flagpoles we use more glass and resin than our competitors. On our aluminium flagpoles we ensure our wall thickness are a minimum of 3mm.

We use a combination of larger butt and top diameters, and within our glass fibre flagpoles a specific weave of glass to give both greater rigidity in normal winds and flexibility under greater wind forces.

All of our hinged base plates have a minimal steel insert of 750mm, greater than our competitors offering added strength.

Classic shape & style:

All of our tapered flagpoles follow the traditional entasis taper.

Our fibreglass flagpoles use a thicker gel coat not only to maintain a high gloss UV resistant finish, but also to protect the fibres underneath.

Accessories

With 40 years experience we have developed a range of flag and flagpole accessories that are designed to be both durable and functional. As the accessories take most of the wear and tear it’s important that they perform well and maintenance is kept to a bare minimum. From the very base to top of the flagpole we ensure that the accessories provided are the best on the market.
